Join the KHS Diversity Club - We meet Friday mornings at 7:30 in room E111. Diversity Club (DC) is a group of students who believe that life can be better from learning about and gaining an appreciation for the differences among all of us. We seek out learning about other cultures, lifestyles, beliefs, ethnicities, etc., and try to spread the knowledge we gain to others. Here are some of the things we've done in the past: 

• We raised nearly $2,000 in aid in the Darfur region of Africa where human genocide and other atrocities have been going on for too long.
• We participated in the “Adopt-A-Family” program and donated cookie baskets to local shelters.
• We organized the Verona Grove concert and donated the proceeds to a local food pantry.
• We brought in Manuel Scott (a former Freedom Writer) to speak to KHS students and staff.
• We created KHS’ first Post Secret book where students and staff shared their secrets.
• We volunteer time and resources to local charities and organizations.
• We participate in the RVMS ELL Family Nights
• We have “Lunch and Learns” which present information and food from various cultures.
• We bring in speakers to present information on various topics and social issues.
• We attend events at the PAC.
• We host cultural Film Fests throughout the year.
• We plan dinners out at local ethnic restaurants.

To be part of Diversity Club, you must attend our weekly Friday meetings, attend TWO garbage clean-ups at Bayorgeon (to fund club events) and attend or participate in TWO events (club, community, or school) each trimester. The Drama program at KHS involves students in production and preparation of a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. Recent Musicals include Peter Pan, Mamma Mia! Footloose and The Little Mermaid. Recent plays have included Almost, Maine, The Mousetrap and 12 Angry Jurors.

Students can participate by being case in a role or joining the crew in the technical production and running of a show (lighting, painting, carpentry, properties or running crew). Auditions take place in September and January. Students are encouraged to try out, even if they have not done so before. There are numerous male and female roles to be filled, as well as chorus/ensemble parts. Rehearsals begin in September and again in January. For more information, contact Joy Paffenroth. 

This is formerly known as GSA. This club works to improve school climate for all students, regardless of secual orientation or gender identity/expression. Members work together to make sure their school is a safe, supportive environment for ALL students. This club is made up of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) student who support, educate, and advocate for human rights. Meetings are held regularly during flex time and host events such as Words Hurt/Words Heal Week, Day of Silence, Safe Space Ally Campaign, provide Health Class presentations, and are always open to anyone on campus committed to their mission.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a student-led club where students encourage each other to grow in their faith. FCA is open to athletes and non athletes alike.  Meetings are held on Friday mornings from 7:15 to 7:45 AM in the student services classroom. No sign up is necessary, just attend a meeting to join!

Forensics provides student an opportunity to hone their speaking abilities in a competitive setting. participants can choose from a wide variety of categories, including extemporaneous speaking, interpretive reading of poetry and prose, and solo acting. Practices usually begin in November and tournaments begin in January. Tournaments are held on Saturdays. Contestants have the opportunity to speak several times at each tournament and can win trophies and medals if they make the "power round."

This is a lunch time club dedicated to providing a social atmosphere for all students.  The goal is to create a network of students with similar interests who may have not met otherwise.

Ghost Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout their first year at KHS. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, this group trains members of the Junior and Senior classes to be leaders. As positive role models, leaders are motivators and teacher who guide the Freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate Freshman success. Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) develops leadership and technical skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, integral parts of the Health Science Education Instructional program. 

A great organization for future health professionals, HOSA's mission is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community.

This group is meant to get students together who share a passion for the outdoors.  Specifically, the group competes in the state ice fishing championships towards the end of winter.

Key Club is a high school community service organization, sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club. More than 10,000 students belong to Key Club worldwide. Our mission is to make a positive contribution to our school, local community and beyond, while developing leadership and problem solving skills, as well as our knowledge and compassion.

In the past, the Kaukauna Key Club has raised money for many projects and charitable organization, has worked to increase awareness about issues that affect our society, and volunteered thousands of service hours to our school and community.

Key Club regularly makes breakfast at the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley for their residents. We provide childcare for parents attending PAC meetings and tutoring help for students at the middle school. We do clean-ups on school grounds, in parks and the Environmental Center. We sell Christmas trees with the Kaukauna Kiwanis to raise money for worthy projects and charities. We are always looking for new ways to give back to our community, and new students with energy to make it happen. 

Key Club is open to any student who would like to work hard, work as a team, learn, have fun and make a difference in our community. For more information, contact club advisor Vicki Becker. 

This was formerly known as DREAM.  LEAD is Living Everyday Alcohol and Drug Free.  LEAD's mission is to create a safe drug and alcohol free environment for committed Kaukauna High School students to express themselves freely while having enjoyable high school memories.

The goal is to eliminate drug and alcohol use in students, give students a reason not to use, reward students who don’t use with fun activities, and create awareness for students and community members on the issues of related to drug and alcohol abuse.  Activities LEAD has done include the cookout at the homecoming game, along with various trips for members to sites like Great America, Brewer game, and Gurnee Mall.

During the spring of their sophomore and junior years, students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply for membership. A faculty committee selects candidates for induction based on their scholarship, leadership, service and character. During their junior (if selected) and senior year, candidates complete at least 30 hours of community service, maintain the standards for which they were first selected, and adhere to the co-curricular policy and by-laws in order to be inducted as full members in spring prior to graduation.

The Papyrus yearbook is a vital piece of property all students should have. In addition to remembering the year, students can look up faces in the book to put names to the faces. Long after graduation, yearbooks are cherish memories of days gone by.

The yearbook is a cooperative effort between students and advisors. Staff members design the pages, type the articles and take the photos using the most up-to-date technology. The students also help manage the business aspect of publishing a book. The completed layouts are then sent via the internet to the printing plant in Kansas where the book is produced. Traditionally, the book is completed right after graduation and published for delivery in August. This allows the staff to include many senior moments, including the commencement ceremony.

The yearbook offers hands-on experience working with other people, computers, writing, photography, layout and design. Many skills acquired by working on the yearbook staff prove to be beneficial for future endeavors. Students can also qualify for admission to the Kaukauna High School Quill & Scroll Chapter, a Journalism Honor Society.

This club meets during flex time and is a place for students to be themselves and be around other students who share a passion for the Star Wars franchise. Students will be encouraged to connect with their peers and meet new people who share their interest in Star Wars.

This club's purpose is to engage females in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.  The group will meet during Flex Time and have several events in the community to expose students to careers in these fields.

Student Council is an organization designed to represent the concerns of the student body, serve the needs of the school, and promote a positive image of high school students through involvement in the community.

We have helped shape school policies, promoted positive school morale, organized events to benefit the community, and developed activities to provide social activities for the school. We have sponsored fundraising events in an effort to return the monies in the form of social events, scholarships and charitable donations.

Students are elected from each grade level by their peers, commit to attend meetings every other week before school, promise to represent the voice of the student concerns, act as liaisons between the school and community and serve on a number of community service committees.
