Welcome to Kaukauna High School, home of the Galloping Ghosts! It is my privilege to lead a school known for its commitment to excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts, as well as its strong community spirit. Here at KHS, we believe in Ghosts—our students, our traditions, and our shared future.
Your child’s education and well-being are our top priorities. We pride ourselves in creating an environment where every student has the opportunity to excel. This past year, 100% of our graduating seniors took either a dual credit course or gained valuable work experience, giving them a head start on their college and career paths, setting them up for success from day one. We’ve also built daily Flex Time into our schedule, offering an opportunity for support and enrichment so that each student receives the attention they need to thrive.
Our dedication to excellence is evident in every aspect of our school. We are proud to be recognized as one of the "Best Communities for Music Education," and our athletes regularly bring home FVA conference championships and WIAA state titles. With a wide range of co-curricular opportunities, every student can find their passion and shine.
While we are proud of our accomplishments, we are also committed to continuous improvement, always striving to enhance our programs and support systems to meet the evolving needs of our students and community.

About New KHS Principal - Aaron Herm
The Kaukauna Area School District is proud to announce the selection of Aaron Herm as the new Principal of Kaukauna High School beginning with the 2024-25 school year. Aaron’s appointment was officially approved during the District's Board of Education meeting on May 13th, 2024.
Mr. Herm brings a wealth of experience to Kaukauna High School, having dedicated all 15 years of his career to high school education. His professional journey has been marked by diverse roles, including teaching Social Studies, Special Education, and Alternative Education. Most recently, he has served as Associate Principal at Oshkosh West High School for six years, where his leadership has been instrumental in fostering a vibrant and supportive educational environment.
Aaron is recognized as a highly visible and engaged leader who prioritizes building strong relationships with students, staff, and the community. His approach to leadership is characterized by a commitment to continuous improvement, instructional excellence, and a process-oriented methodology. These qualities have earned him a reputation for driving positive change and enhancing the educational experience for all stakeholders.
As the new Principal of Kaukauna High School, Aaron is poised to bring his vision, enthusiasm, and expertise to our school community. His dedication to fostering a dynamic learning environment aligns perfectly with our district’s mission to inspire all students to reach their full potential.
